MCS Recommended — Highest UK standard for bathing water quality. Only sites with properly treated

Basic pass - European minimum standard for water quality. Waterborne pathogens present in quantities

South Beach is a long sandy beach with dunes running its length. There are less crowds as you walk further south along the beach. At low tide the northern end joins up with Castle Beach.

yes Approximately 200 car park spaces near South Beach which can fill up quickly, including some disabled spaces.

Things to do

Swimming. windsurfing. sailing. canoeing and power boating take place on South Beach. which is zoned for such sports. Tenby only has surfable waves during winter storms.

Wildlife & walks

Tenby itself makes a good walk with a lot of history within its walls. At low tide the beaches join creating about two miles of unbroken sand. The coastal path is a scenic route.
